Program Overview

Hurricane Ida made landfall in southeast Louisiana on Aug. 29, 2021, as a destructive Category 4 storm near Port Fourchon. Following the hurricane, 25 parishes were declared major federal disaster areas.

While many programs are available to assist with disaster recovery, survivors may still need help rebuilding their lives. To provide survivors with assistance to meet their remaining needs, the program has created regions where case managers can offer localized help.
